Ever since deciding that I wanted to have cosmetic dentistry I took it upon myself to investigate thoroughly all of my options. I quickly realised that many dentists offer cosmetic dental services but actually do not really know how to offer the level of service that patients are looking for. And with prices set so high this is why many patients opt to go abroad to have their cosmetic dentistry. I wasn\’t prepared to travel overseas and because I live in Newcastle I decided that I would investigate dentist in the local area to find out which one was best. With modern technology lots of dental practices are offering their patients the chance to leave them a testimonial on video. These are an excellent way to see how happy previous customers have been and also to take a look at the dental treatment that they have had. I strongly recommend that you ensure that any dentist you go to visit for any form of cosmetic treatment is accredited with one of these official organisations. Any dentist which has done so will be clearly displaying the organisation\’s logo and their accreditation number in all of their marketing. My advice is that you look out for this and if you can\’t find it ask!

And lastly I want to let you know about my own treatment. I have very crooked teeth which were also particularly dark, I decided that I would have orthodontic braces to straighten my teeth as I wanted to keep my own teeth without having things like dental veneers on top. After about six months of these braces my dentist gave me teeth whitening which made my teeth look amazing.
